Building a Village
What does it take to build a community? How does a community grow and progress over time? In cooperation with the Saugatuck/Douglas Historical Society, the eighth grade students from Saugatuck Middle School researched buildings and sites throughout the community in order to discover how the past has led to the present. Through research, interviews, site visits and more, the students gathered information about the origins and history of the architecture, as well as the people who built and influenced the place we call home.
